While Episode 8 of the new Hulu rom-com Maggie featured a few stellar songs on its soundtrack, my favorite of the show was Leona Lewis’s ‘Bleeding Love‘.
That song played as Maggie and Angel are talking at the prom, and then as Ben and Maggie are saying goodnight — Maggie, Season 1, Episode 8, “Your Past Will Inform Your Present“.
British singer songwriter Leona Lewis’s ‘Bleeding Love‘ was the lead single from her debut studio album Spirit, which came out in 2007 on the Syco record label.
The huge power ballad became a massive and quite surprise of a hit for the singer upon release.
It climbed to #1 on the charts in 18 countries, including the U.S. where it hit the top spot on four different charts including the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
After its success, ‘Bleeding Love‘ went on to become Leona Lewis’s signature song.
The track was also certified Gold, Platinum, 2 x Platinum or 3 x Platinum in a slew of countries.
When it comes to music videos, ‘Bleeding Love‘ actually ended up with two different music videos, both of which looked at love problems between different people.
