Listen to Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’ from The Family Plan end credits as the Morgans sing along

American singer and rapper Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time‘ was the second song played over the end credits of the new movie The Family Plan this week.

It was the song that played after Bryan Ferry’s ‘Let’s Stick Together‘, with the Morgan family singing along as they are in the car during their road trip.

When was Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’ released?

The disco funk pop track is one of Lizzo’s more recent releases, coming out in April, 2022 as the lead single from the American singer’s fourth studio album Special.

It was a huge hit for the singer/rapper at the time of release, climbing to #1 in the U.S. on six different charts, including at #1 on the iconic Billboard Hot 100 chart 14 weeks after its initial release.

The song also ranked at #1 on three charts in Canada, and in Japan and Mexico, as well as climbed very high up charts in 35 other countries.

As if doing well on charts all over the world wasn’t good enough, Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time‘ was also given a Grammy Award for Record of the Year the following year.

It also received nominations in a couple of other high-profile categories.

The song itself was written as an uplifting, feel good song specifically for Lizzo’s Special album to celebrate the success she had achieved so far.

Listen to Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time‘ as played over the end credits of The Family Plan via her Special album, and in the song’s official music video.

The Family Plan stars Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby and Ciarán Hinds.

The film is currently streaming via Apple TV Plus and, while it is being completely panned by critics, that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it.
