The new romantic drama Five Feet Apart has a superb soundtrack, which includes French electronic music project M83’s ‘Wait‘.
The song is a gorgeous, highly emotional track that was perfect for the scene where Stella talks about taking back her one foot of space.
M83’s ‘Wait‘ is from the project’s sixth studio album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. The album was released in late 2011, and was the project’s first double album.
It hit the number 15 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and was one of the nominations for the Best Alternative Music Album at the Grammy Awards in 2013.
M83’s ‘Wait‘ was the fifth single from the album. The song’s feature in Five Feet Apart is the second time it has appeared in a movie soundtrack, as it was also used for the equally emotional movie The Fault In Our Stars.
The ‘Wait‘ music video was directed by Fleur & Manu, and was the end of a three-video trilogy M83 collaborated on with the duo.
As for Five Feet Apart, it was released on March 15th and is a touching film about Stella and Will — two young people who suffer from cystic fibrosis.
The movie stars Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse, Moises Arias, Emily Baldoni and Claire Forlani.
