Maty Noyes’ single ‘Haunted’ was featured on The CW series The Originals a couple of weeks ago (Season 3, Episode 21, May 13th, 2016 – “Give ‘Em Hell Kid” — a cool episode that also featured Frightened Rabbit’s ‘Death Dream‘) and, since then, it keeps popping up on my radar. No surprise really, as it is such a memorable and haunting kind of song.
So who is Maty Noyes?
According to her Facebook page, Noyes is from Corinth, Missouri, is only 18 years old, and got her big break last year when she contributed vocals to a song on the Weeknd’s last album. Since then she has been signed to Lava Records, and is currently working on new music with a producer in Los Angeles.
Noyes also popped up with her single ‘Haunted’ last year when it appeared on the soundtrack of the Julia Roberts/Nicole Kidman movie ‘Secret In Their Eyes‘.
Now the song is back on the soundtrack of The Originals, where it fits beautifully with the theme of the show and, yes, it is still as addictive as it ever was.
