British singer songwriter and producer Michael Kiwanuka’s ‘Piano Joint (This Kind of Love’ was one of the songs featured on the season finale of The Blacklist this week — The Blacklist, Season 7, Episode 10, “Katarina Rostova” (aired on 13th December, 2019).
The track is from Michael Kiwanuka’s third studio album Kiwanuka, which was released on November 1st this year via Interscope Records.
An album that was another enormous hit for Michael Kiwanuka ranking high on the charts in at least 20 countries, including the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
‘Piano Joint (This Kind of Love)‘ is the third single from the album.
The song is not the first Michael Kiwanuka track to be featured on a hit TV series either, as the singer has been a big favorite of American TV show music supervisors since his first album was released in 2012.
So far, the London native’s songs have appeared on hit shows like the Netflix series’ Seven Seconds, Grace and Frankie and The Get Down, Suits, Dear White People, Empire, Shameless, American Crime, The Royals, Parenthood, Elementary, Rosewood and the British rom-com Yesterday.
Kiwanuka’s song ‘Cold Little Heart’ was also chosen as the opening theme song for the HBO series Big Little Lies.
