Listen to Moby’s ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die’ from Stranger Things, Season 4 – the deaths of Eddie and Max

When it comes to the latest episodes of the massively popular sci-fi horror drama Stranger Things, it’s hard to think of another recent show that has featured so much cool music on its soundtrack.

Music like Moby’s ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die‘, which showed up on Stranger Things, Season 4, Episode 9, “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback” this month.

That song was played during the incredibly emotional scenes where Eddie makes Dustin promise to look after “those little sheep” and then dies, and as Lucas is holding Max as she dies.

Moby’s ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die‘ was released in 1995 on the American electronica musician’s third studio album Everything is Wrong, which came out on the Elektra and Mute record labels.

While five singles were released from the hit album, the almost angelic-sounding ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die‘ was strangely not one of them.

Especially as it is a song that seems to cause first-time listeners to immediately fall in love with its gentleness, and feelings of hope.

Listen to Moby’s ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die‘ as heard on the movie-length last episode of Season 4 of Stranger Things in the video, and on the artist’s Everything is Wrong album.

And, of course, hear a lot more music from Season 4 of the show on Leo Sigh.

Watch all four seasons of Stranger Things, including the just-released newest two episodes, on Netflix.
