Listen to Moses Sumney’s ‘Bless Me’ from The Blacklist, S10 E12 ending scenes

Indie rock, electro soul singer songwriter Moses Sumney’s ‘Bless Me‘ was that beautiful almost ethereal song playing in the background at the end of The Blacklist this week — The Blacklist, Season 10, Episode 12, “Dr. Michael Abani“.

The song was heard in the last couple of minutes of the episode as Dembe helps Aisaa pack her things, and as she invites him to stay for dinner so he can give the gift he brought for Isabella himself.

It then continues playing in the last scene and as the episode ends.

Moses Sumney’s ‘Bless Me‘ was released as the fifth single from his second studio album Græ, which came out on the indie label Jagjaguwar.

Interestingly, the 20-track double album was released in two parts. The first coming out in February, 2020 followed by the second part arriving in the middle of May of the same year.

Considering they were both released digitally, it has seemed to many fans that Græ is actually two separate albums.

Græ is also an album quite different than Moses Sumney‘s debut album, in that it features collaborations with other artists including James Blake, Ian Chang, Michael Chabon, Rob Moose, Thundercat and Jill Scott.

The album went on to hit #28 on the Top Album Sales chart in the United States, as well as at #8 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.

It also ranked on the Portugese Albums chart.

While Græ wasn’t an enormous commercial success for the incredibly talented Asheville, North Carolina-based artist, it was critically-acclaimed with a massive number of critics including those at The Guardian, The Independent, Stereogum, Under the Radar and Rolling Stone putting it on their Best Albums of 2020 list.

Listen to Moses Sumney’s ‘Bless Me‘ as heard at the end of this week’s The Blacklist in the song’s music video, which features Sumney cycling around his now-hometown of Asheville, North Carolina while singing the song.

You can also hear the song, plus every one of the other 19 songs on its roster, on his Græ album via Spotify below.
