British folk band Mumford & Sons‘ ‘Guiding Light‘ was featured on the new season of Grey’s Anatomy this week — Grey’s Anatomy, Season 16, Episode 1, “Nothing Left to Cling to“.
The track was heard on the episode during a montage of a mixed bag of emotions as we see Mari hugging Jai after he wakes from the coma, as Alex tells Jo he wants to marry her, and as Owen tells Teddy he has put the house on the market.
Mumford & Sons ‘Guiding Light‘ is from Delta — the band’s last studio album released in November, 2018. The song was the lead single from the release.
The 14-track Delta went on to hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as charted high in 19 other countries. It was also certified Gold in Canada and in the United Kingdom, where it hit the number 2 spot on the UK Albums Chart.
