Listen to Neil Diamond’s ‘September Morn’ from Mindhunter, Season 2, Episode 1

The classic Neil Diamond song ‘September Morn‘ was featured on the first episode of Mindhunter Season 2 this week.  It was played during the cookout scene where Bill has to socialize with his neighbors.

‘September Morn‘ is the title track from the iconic American singer’s thirteenth studio album.

Released in 1979, the song was an enormous hit for Neil Diamond ranking high on several charts in both the United States and Canada, as well as in various other countries around the globe.

The album September Morn also made it onto three charts in the U.S. ((#2 on the Adult Contemporary Chart), and on two charts in Canada.

Diamond wrote the song ‘September Morn‘ about a couple who had been apart, but had come back together. The lyrics are about the man’s thoughts as he remembers them dancing till dawn many years before, and how remembering that still makes him feel.
