The Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds track ‘Into My Arms‘ was featured on the new Dawn French series ‘Delicious‘ this week — Season 1, Episode 4. And while the series itself is not getting particularly stellar reviews, the music used in it is damn good.
‘Into My Arms‘ is a truly beautiful song in every way. It first appeared as the first single from NIck Cave & The Bad Seeds tenth album The Boatman’s Call, and is said to be the song he wrote after two romantic break ups that just crushed him.
Cave himself says ‘Into My Arms‘ is one of the songs he is most proud to have written. He also sang the song at the funeral of his friend, INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence.
For me, I always think of Nick Cave’s 15-year-old son, Arthur, when I hear him song this song. He tragically died from a fall from a cliff after taking LSD for the first time.
Watch the official video for Nick Cave’s ‘Into My Arms‘ below. It is just stunning.
