Welsh indie folk rock singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Novo Amor’s ‘From Gold‘ was that ethereal-sounding song on 9-1-1 this week — 9-1-1, Season 5, Episode 2, “Desperate Times“.
The song played as the blackout continues, and as neighbors are helping the boy with his ventilator.
Novo Amor’s ‘From Gold‘ is from the Welsh indie artist’s 2014 EP Woodgate, New York, which was released via Norwegian label Brilliance Records, and while a short release, features four tracks that are all equally as stunning.
The EP also gained him attention from music industry professionals at the time, allowing him to sign with the UK’s Bucks Music Group.
Since then, he has released three albums, a second EP and more than 20 singles, with his last single — ‘Haven‘ — a song that was used in the just released Life is Strange: True Colors adventure video game.
Novo Amor is the moniker for indie artist Ali John Meredith-Lacey. A musician who has been creating gorgeous music since his first self-released single back in 2021.
Novo Amor’s music has also seen a massive interest from the music supervisors of TV series in recent years, with his stunning songs being featured on shows like Teen Wolf, New Amsterdam, grown-ish, Roswell, New Mexico (many times), The Royals, Saving Hope, Bones, Pretty Little Liars, The Republic of Sarah, A Million Little Things and Virgin River just to name a few.
Listen to Novo Amor’s ‘From Gold‘ in the song’s music video, and on his EP Woodgate, New York down below. It has such a lovely almost-angelic-like sound, doesn’t it?
