Listen to Pearl Jam’s Just Breathe from iZombie — it’s pretty
Pearl Jam’s Just Breathe was featured on The CW series iZombie this week — season 3, Episode 5, “Spanking the Zombie“. It was played when Major and Liv kiss as he tells her that, because he’s lost his memory, that means he will probably fall in love with her again.
It continues to play when Ravi gives Major the brain serum, and we all feel sad because from now on Major is never going to be the Major Liv knows anymore. That’s how perfect this song is for the scene too.
Just Breathe is from Pearl Jam’s ninth studio album Backspacer, which was released in 2009. It was the second single from the album and eventually went platinum in the US, ending up being Pearl Jam’s first ever platinum certified song.
It also hit number one on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart, and was certified gold in Italy.
Not only was Just Breathe popular with fans, however. It has also been very popular with music producers, who have used it in TV shows ranging from One Tree Hill and Castle to Grey’s Anatomy and The Blacklist.
