Alternative folk pop singer Phoebe Bridgers’ ‘Punisher‘ is the title track from the indie American singer songwriter’s second studio album of the same name.
The song showed up on the latest episode of the hospital drama New Amsterdam this week — New Amsterdam, Season 5, Episode 2, “Hook, Line and Sinker“.
It was played during the scene where Max is thanking Elizabeth for her help by speaking to her in sign language, even if he does make mistakes.
Phoebe Bridgers‘ Punisher album was released in 2020 by the indie singer via the Dead Oceans record label.
It went on to be critically acclaimed, hit #1 on the UK Independent Albums list, #2 on the Top Alternative Albums chart in the U.S., and #43 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album also hit charted in 10 other countries, and appeared on the year-end Top Current Album Sales chart in the United States, it was that successful.
Punisher was also certified Silver in the UK.
Bridgers’ ‘Punisher‘ track was not released as a single from the album, which is surprising as the song is a lovely, mellow track with a pretty melody and gorgeous vocals.
