Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up‘ starts A Perfect Story off right
The new Spanish rom com A Perfect Story just dropped on Netflix this week and, along with the cute story and fabulous cast, we also got some stellar music on the show’s soundtrack.
Music like Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up‘, which was played on A Perfect Story, Episode 1, “We Won’t Look For Each Other“.
It was heard right at the beginning of the first episode as we see Margot having trouble sleeping, and David in his kitchen arranging flowers.
The Scottish alternative rock band Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up‘ was released as a song on the band’s third studio album Screamadelica, which came out in 1991.
Oddly, although the gospel-inspired track was never released as a single by the band, it has since gone on to become the song they are most known for as well as somewhat of a signature song for the group.
Screamadelica, the album it came from, also became a commercial success as well as going on to win the Mercury Music Prize.
Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up‘ is known for its simplistic but incredibly upbeat, feel good lyrics, cool guitar riff and lead singer Bobby Gillespie’s rockin’ vocals.
