Pussy Riot’s ‘Bad Girls‘ feat. Dave Sitek and Desi Mo was played on the first episode of the new Netflix sci-fi In From The Cold this week — In From The Cold, Season 1, Episode 1, “What is Burning?”
And if the first episode of this excellent new series is anything to go by (sorry, I haven’t watched the rest of Season 1 yet), In From The Cold is going to be one of the best shows on the streaming service for cool music.
Pussy Riot’s ‘Bad Girls‘ feat. Dave Sitek and Desi Mo was played on the series’ first episode as the team is arriving in Madrid.
The track itself was released in 2018 by the infamous Russian feminist punk rock group.
A group that, let’s face it, are far more well-known for their demonstrations in Russia and subsequent arrests and imprisonment, than they are for their music.
That being said, Pussy Riot’s ‘Bad Girls‘ is a banging track that talks about why bad girls will win out over good girls all the time.
Especially as good girls are lying to themselves if they think they are winning out over the men they are sweet talking just to get what they want.
