Listen to Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ from Brave New World, Season 1, Episode 1

Jessica Brown Findlay stars as Lenina Crowne

English indie rock band Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ was one of the tracks featured on the new drama series Brave New World on the similarly new Peacock streaming service last night — Brave New World, Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot“.

The song was heard as we see John the Savage in the storm.

Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees‘ is the third single from the band’s second studio album The Bends.  The album was released in 1995 and ultimately spawned six singles.

Fake Plastic Trees‘ charted in Scotland, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Its highest placing was in Canada where it made it to #7 on the Canada Rock/Alternative chart.

The track also came with an official music video filmed in a futuristic supermarket with an incredibly young and very cute Thom Yorke, the lead singer of Radiohead, sitting in a supermarket cart and singing while other characters appear and disappear.

Brave New World stars Downton Abbey‘s Jessica Brown Findlay, Harry Lloyd, Alden Ehrenreich and Hannah John-Kamen. It is an adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s iconic novel with all nine episodes of the first season now available to watch on Peacock.

You can also listen to Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees‘ from Brave New World in the track’s official music video.
