Canadian singer Lowell’s ‘Ride‘ (feat. Icona Pop) was featured in the new movie Nerve, and it is so good I am guessing it could end up being a major hit for her.
Because Lowell is a singer that should be far more well-known than she is. Especially as she has a fabulous debut album out — We Loved Her Dearly — and her pop songs really are catchy and cool.
As a person, Lowell has a fascinating background as well. The singer spent time working as a stripper while putting together a music career, she is openly bisexual and she is politically motivated when it comes to the songs she creates.
Find out more about Lowell at Music.Mic’s interview with her, and listen to and watch Lowell’s ‘Ride‘ in the video below.
It was recorded in collaboration with Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop, and it is very very cool.
