Listen to Sade’s ‘Hang On To Your Love’ from Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ep. 4

British jazz band Sade’s ‘Hang On To Your Love‘ was one of the superb 1970s and 1980s played on DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story on Netflix this month — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Episode 4, “The Good Boy Box“.

The song was played as Dahmer is dancing at the bar.

Sade’s ‘Hang On To Your Love‘ was the fourth single from the band’s hugely successful debut album Diamond Life.

An album that not only won the Brit Award for Best British Album, but became a big commercial success for the indie British band, as well as charting at #1 on charts in France, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and New Zealand.

The album was also (astoundingly) certified 4 x Platinum, Platinum or Gold in 12 countries.

As for Sade’s ‘Hang On To Your Love‘ single, that song hit charts in five countries, but was the most successful in the United States where American radio stations in all markets played the heck out of the song.

The song eventually made it onto five American charts.

Astounding again considering Sade and its velvety-voiced lead singer, Sade Adu, were unknowns to an American audience before Diamond Life released.

Listen to Sade’s ‘Hang On To Your Love‘ as played on Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story in the song’s official music video, which takes place in a casino and features Sade herself providing the musical entertainment, and on the band’s Diamond Life.
