Americana singer songwriter Shakey Graves’ ‘Kids These Days‘ was played on the new episode of the Western TV series Walker last night — Walker, Season 1, Episode 3, “Bobble Head” — which aired on February 4th, 2021.
The rock track was heard playing as Walker is teaching Stella to drive in her mother’s car.
Shakey Graves’ ‘Kids These Days’ is from the singer’s 13-track fifth studio album Can’t Wake Up and, with its rock vibe, is a huge departure from the singer’s original Americana roots.
Something some fans loved and others hated.
Released in 2018 via the Dualtone record label, Can’t Wake Up eventually charted on four different U.S. music charts, with its highest spots being #9 on the U.S. Folk Albums chart and #13 on the Indie Albums chart.
Shakey Graves’ ‘Kids These Days‘ also came with a wild and crazy official music video with the singer wearing a long curly wig, and performing the song in a van with a group of fans, outside the van with his drummer and on a floodlit stage with his band. All the while, rocking hard.
Listen to Shakey Graves’ ‘Kids These Days‘ as heard on Walker in that music video.
You can also listen to the track on his album Can’t Wake Up below that.
Walker starring Jared Padalecki and Lindsey Morgan is a reboot of the iconic series Walker, Texas Ranger. The first season of the series is currently airing on The CW.
