Singer songwriter Sharon Van Etten’s ‘Comeback Kid‘ was featured on Spinning Out this week — Spinning Out, Season 1, Episode 1, “Now Entering Sun Valley“.
‘Comeback Kid‘ is from Van Etten’s fifth studio album Remind Me Tomorrow. It was the first song released from the album.
The 10-track Remind Me Tomorrow itself was released in January, 2019 on the Jagjaguwar label, and was the first album the New Jersey native had created in five years.
It was critically well-received and appeared on several year end lists as one of the best albums of the year.
‘Comeback Kid‘ came with an interesting official music video a few months later, featuring Van Etten singing the pounding track while standing in front of a projector, as various colorful pieces of film footage are projected onto her face and body.
