Listen to Shellac’s ‘Dude Incredible’ from Billions, S7, Ep 4 opening scenes – a cool guitar track

American noise rock band Shellac’s ‘Dude Incredible‘ was that fabulous guitar track on the latest episode of the Showtime drama Billions this week –– Billions, Season 7, Episode 4, “Hurricane Rosie“.

The instrumental track was heard playing right at the beginning of the episode as we see Karl walking across a street at night and heading into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

He then learns about a Taiwanese scammer called Kai Huang Liu from one of the men speaking.

When was Shellac’s ‘Dude Incredible’ released?

American indie rock band Shellac released ‘Dude Incredible‘ as the first and title track of their fifth studio album Dude Incredible, which came out in 2014 via the Touch and Go record label.

The album performed well, ranking on charts in Belgium, the UK and the U.S., with an #85 ranking on the Billboard 200, at #20 on the Independent Albums chart, and at #17 on the Top Alternative Albums chart.

Dude Incredible was also very well-received by music critics, with outlets like Consequence of Sound, Pitchfork, The Line of Best Fit and The Guardian placing it on their Best Albums of 2014 lists.

Listen to Shellac’s ‘Dude Incredible‘ as heard on this week’s Billions opening scenes in the video below. And yes, the song does have lyrics once you get past that gorgeous long instrumental intro.

Weirdly, the band removed all its music from Spotify a couple of years ago, so you can’t listen to it there.

And that is unfortunate as, let’s face it, while Spotify pays minimal amounts to musicians and should pay more, it’s not just about the money but also the immense exposure the streaming platform can sometimes offer an artist.
