Alternative country singer and songwriter Shelly Fairchild’s ‘One Mississippi’ was played on the Roswell, New Mexico soundtrack last night — Roswell, New Mexico, Season 3, Episode 3, “Black Hole Sun” — in an episode that aired on August 9th,2021.
The song was heard in the scene where Gregory tells Marie he will help her set up her bar for the drive-in theater crowd.
Shelly Fairchild’s ‘One Mississippi‘ is from the singer’s third studio album Buffalo, which was released in December, 2016 via Columbia Nashville records.
Along with releasing albums and singles, Fairchild has also had a burgeoning career over the last few years penning and recording songs for a number of hit TV series, including Grey’s Anatomy, Selling Sunset, The Titan Games, Riverdale, Love Island and Shameless.
The singer is also becoming somewhat of a regular on Roswell, New Mexico where this week’s song is now the fourth song the music supervisors of that show have used.
Yep, apparently they love her music. As they should.
