Listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ from Physical, S3 E1 ending credits

The new season of the Apple TV drama Physical features three cool ‘older’ pop hits on the soundtrack of its first episode.

They include the British indie rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’, which showed up on the first episode of the new season as the imaginary girl tells Sheila she did it, and now people will figure out how “effing crazy” she actually is.

The post punk song then continues playing over that episode’s end credits — Physical, Season 3, Episode 1, “Like a Whole New Woman“.

When was Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ released?

Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Spellbound’ came out as the lead single from the indie band’s fourth studio album Juju, which was released in 1981 via Polydor Records.

The song charted in the Top 75 in the UK (#22), New Zealand and the United States.

Spellbound‘ was then given a new lease of life several times in the last couple of years when the track was played on the soundtracks of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, True Blood, American Horror Story and on this year’s Obsession.

The song also received a 12″ extended version, which was included on the re-release of the band’s Juju album in 2006.
