Listen to Son of Dave’s ‘Voodoo Doll‘ as featured on Preacher

It often seems that the soundtracks to many TV series are filled with the saddest, most heart-wrenching music. So, it is nice occasionally to get a piece of music that is a little bit more rocking than what we might be used to. Music like Son of Dave’s ‘Voodoo Doll’, which was featured on the pilot episode of the new AMC series Preacher on Saturday night.

Preacher, of course, is based on the DC Comics’ comic book series.

As for Son of Dave, he is a Canadian singer-songwriter who first hit the big time as a member of the indie folk rock band Crash Test Dummies. He went solo in 2000, moved to the United Kingdom and has subsequently recorded six solo albums.

Voodoo Doll’ is from his fifth album Shake A Bone and, while it has a fabulous blues feel to it, it is also rough and creepy enough that it is just perfect for Preacher. L

isten to it below, and watch the fabulous video that comes with it.
