Listen to Spice Girls’ ‘Say You’ll Be There’ from Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin – still cool decades after release

The latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin were released on HBO Max yesterday and, along with the high drama, we got yet more cool songs on its soundtrack.

Including Spice Girls’ ‘Say You’ll Be There‘, which showed up on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Episode 4, “Chapter Four: The (Fe)male Gaze” during the flashbacks to 1999.

The song was the British girl group’s second single from their debut album Spice, which came out in 1996 via the Virgin record label.

The album was one of the biggest hits of 1996, charting in almost 20 countries and making it to the #1 spot in three of them, including their home country of the United Kingdom.

It also catapulted the Spice Girls to international stardom.

Say You’ll Be There‘ also charted on five charts in the U.S., hitting #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was eventually certified Gold or Platinum in seven countries.

Listen to Spice Girls’ ‘Say You’ll Be There’ from Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, on the group’s Spice album and on the song’s official music video.

The video has the Spice Girls in the Mojave Desert wearing skimpy clothing and acting like martial arts experts.

Yep, as you might expect, the music video was a big hit too.
