The cool St. Vincent track ‘Fast Slow Disco‘ was one of the fabulous songs that showed up on the first season of the new Netflix teen drama series Trinkets — Season 1, Episode 5, “Big Mistake”.
The song was played at the beginning of the episode as we see Elodie, Moe and Tabitha driving Brady’s car, and it was one of a slew of songs that perfectly illustrate the show’s indie mood.
St. Vincent’s ‘Fast Slow Disco‘ was released in 2018 as a non-album single. A different version of the track, Slow Disco, showed up on her critically acclaimed album Masseducation.
And interestingly, even though St. Vincent’s ‘Fast Slow Disco’ has been massively successful on Spotify with 5.75 million plays, and on YouTube with almost 1.5 million views, the single did not chart on any major charts in the U.S. or overseas.
Her latest album, however, did markedly better.
Masseducation is the American singer songwriter’s fifth studio album, and was so successful for the 36-year-old singer, it was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Alternative Music Album. It also appeared on a slew of critics’ lists as one of the best albums of 2017.
