Listen to Supergrass’ ‘Alright’ from Ted Lasso, S3 E7 as everyone gets ready for the game

English alternative rock band Supergrass’ ‘Alright‘ is that cool upbeat song playing on Ted Lasso this week as the stadium crew gets ready for the upcoming game, and as the team are in the locker room changing into their uniforms — Ted Lasso, Season 3, Episode 7.

Supergrass’ ‘Alright‘ was the fifth single released by the indie rock band when it came out as part of a double single along with ‘Time‘ back in July, 1995. It was also the fourth single from the group’s debut studio album I Should Coco.

The track performed well but then became a mega hit for Supergrass when it was included soon after on the soundtrack of the hit movie Clueless,

Alright‘ charted on charts in six European countries plus Australia, and also appeared on the Year-End charts in the UK and Iceland. The British Phonographic Industry eventually certified the song Platinum after 600,000 units were sold.

Supergrass was founded in 1993 and is still together 30 years later. As of this writing, ‘Alright‘ is still their most successful single release.

The group comprises lead singer Gaz Coombes, his brother Rob Coombes on keyboards, bassist Mick Quinn and drummer Danny Goffey.

All are the original founding members except for Rob Coombes who didn’t become part of Supergrass until 2002.

In their 30-year career, Supergrass has won an Ivor Novello Award, a Brit Award, an NME Award, and a Muso Award. Yep, these guys really know their stuff.
