Listen to SUR’s ‘Lean Back‘ from Riverdale, this debut single is powerful
American recording artist SUR’s debut single ‘Lean Back‘ is probably doing a little bit better than he imagined it might. Especially since it was featured on the latest episode of The CW series Riverdale last week — Season 2, Episode 8, “Chapter Twenty One: House of the Devil“.
The track is the powerful almost-anthemic song that was played as Jughead and FP ride their motorbikes alongside Sweetwater River.
SUR, aka Los Angeles-based musician and producer Zack Arnett, released the music video for ‘Lean Back‘ in October, and is currently working on his debut EP. It will be out on Interscope Records sometime in early 2018.
As SUR has admitted, though, the Phillip Montgomery directed music video for ‘Lean Back’ ended up being far more than he expected it to be as well. More a gorgeous short film about horror, violence and nature than a music video.
