Listen to Talking Heads’ ‘Don’t Worry About The Government’ from ’20th Century Women’

New wave band Talking Heads’ track ‘Don’t Worry About The Government‘ was featured in the new movie 20th Century Women.

The song is heard at the beginning of the movie, which is the perfect opening for a movie set in 1970s California, I have to say.

Don’t Worry About The Government’, of course, is from the Heads 1977 debut album Talking Heads: 77.

An album that also spawned the hit single ‘Psycho Killer‘. And an album that Rolling Stone magazine eventually put on their list of the 500 Best Albums of All Time.

Talking Heads formed in 1975, released eight albums, and stayed together until 1991 when they broke up.

They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, and are still thought of today as one of the most important bands of the new wave era.

As for 20th Century Women, the movie stars Elle Fanning, Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, and Alia Shawkat.

It was written and directed by Mike Mills.

Listen to ‘Don’t Worry About The Government‘ from 20th Century Women in the video below.

You can grab the soundtrack to the movie on most major digital music sites.
