The Talking Heads song ‘This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)’ was featured on the latest episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD this week — Season 5, Episode 1, “Orientation (Part One)“.
The track was heard during the montage where Kree gets ready, changes his skin and then goes to work. It continues as he and the crew go to Rae’s where Coulson and everyone else are having dinner.
‘This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)‘ was originally released in 1983 on the Heads fifth album Speaking In Tongues. It was re-released in 2005 on the remastered version of Speaking In Tongues.
And it is a song that has shown up in many movies and TV series since its first release. You may have heard it in the films Lars and the Real Girl, Wall Street or in Crazy, Stupid, Love.
It is also a popular cover song, having been performed by artists like The Lumineers, Shawn Colvin, Counting Crows and Walk The Moon over the last 20 years.
Not surprising, as it is definitely a song that has stood the test of time.
