Listen to Taps ‘Sober‘ as featured on Criminal Minds — it’s beautiful

Zimbabwean soul and pop singer Taps Mugadza‘s beautifully soulful song ‘Sober‘ was featured on the new episode of crime drama Criminal Minds this week — Season 14, Episode 9, “Broken Wing“.

The song was played right at the end of the episode as the case is closed.

Taps Mugadza, aka Taps, has been singing since he was 15 years old. He first came to national recognition in Zimbabwe when he entered Zimbabwean Idol, and ultimately came in third place.

Soon afterwards, a Christian mission he volunteered for paid for him to travel to the United States to find sponsors for his music. He eventually went on to study at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.

After graduating from the school, Taps released a cover of Adele’s ‘Hello‘, which earned him a lot of attention in America, and has currently garnered him over 6 million views on YouTube.

Taps is currently based in Los Angeles, where he is working with some of the most prestigious producers in the city.
