Listen to The Genders’ ‘Come On’ from The Thing About Pam, Episode 1, “She’s a Good Friend”

While the new six-episode crime drama The Thing About Pam is pretty distasteful, as it turns the real-life murder of Betsy Faria into a quirky comedy for nothing more than financial gain, it does seem to have some decent music on its soundtrack.

Including Israeli rock n’ roll band The Genders’ ‘Come On‘, which showed up on the first episode of The Thing About Pam — Episode 1, “She’s a Good Friend” — playing as Russ is at Arby’s.

The gritty, raw ‘Come On’ is from the now Austin, Texas based band’s album Rockin in Ramallah, which was self-released in 2005, and is one of four albums The Genders has out so far.

Their last album, Take Me to the Freeway, was released in 2019.

Come On‘ itself is also one of a number of songs the band has had licensed for play on shows like The Good Wife, Justified, Virgin River, Heartland, True Blue, Wynonna Earp and Mayans MC.

That proves their music is definitely attracting the attention of entertainment industry music supervisors.

Listen to The Genders’ ‘Come On‘ from last night’s The Thing About Pam from their Rockin in Ramallah album, and in the video below, and you should be able to hear why.

If you like what you hear, you can buy the album, and the rest of The Genders music, via Bandcamp.

The Thing About Pam stars Renée Zellweger in the lead role alongside Josh Duhamel, Judy Greer, Katy Mixon, Gideon Adlon and Sean Bridgers. The crime drama is currently airing on NBC.
