Listen to The New Madness’s ‘Lovesick’ from Shameless, Season 10, Episode 1

The Danish indie garage rock band The New Madness’s ‘Lovesick’ was played on the soundtrack of the comedy drama series Shameless this week, Shameless, Season 10, Episode 1, “We Few, We Lucky Few, We Band of Gallaghers!” (aired on Sunday, November 10th, 2019).

The track was heard as Lip and Tami are having sex and as the baby is kicking.

And just in case you’ve heard the song before, and could have sworn it was released by a different band, it was. Sort of.

That’s because The New Madness were called The Dead-On when they first released ‘Lovesick‘.

Then an American band of the same name contacted them and recommended they change their name to avoid confusion.

That is why ‘Lovesick’ is now attributed to The New Madness, as the band changed their name to be the same as the title of their then latest single.

Oh, and just in case you are thinking The New Madness are a bunch of children, nope, that’s not the case either.

They just thought it would be cool for the music video of ‘Lovesick‘ to have some rocking looking kids lip syncing to the track.

So there ya go.

Listen to The New Madness’s ‘Lovesick‘ as featured in Shameless in the official music video below. You can also hear it in the Spotify widget below that, and follow the band on Facebook.

As for Shameless, that Showtime show is now in its 10th season, and has become the longest ever running drama series for the cable network.
