American vocal group The Vogues’ ‘My Special Angel‘ showed up on the first episode of the new season of The End of the F***ing World on Netflix this week.
The track was played as we see the montage of a much younger Bonnie with her parents.
The Vogues’ ‘My Special Angel‘ is a cover of the original Bobby Helm song that was first released in 1957.
The Vogues version of the track was released in 1968, and made it to the #7 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and #1 on the Easy Listening chart.
The song also appeared on the group’s third studio album Turn Around, Look at Me via the Reprise Records label.
