Canadian singer songwriter The Weeknd’s ‘Party Monster‘ was featured on the latest episode of the DC Universe series Titans on Friday night — Titans, Season 2, Episode 7, “Bruce Wayne” (aired on October 18th, 2019).
The song is played as we see Rose and Jason dancing, and then later as they are kissing in Jason’s room.
The Weeknd’s ‘Party Monster‘ is the third single from the alternative R&B pop singer’s third studio album Starboy, which was released in 2016. An album that was a massive hit for the Canadian native.
Upon release, the catchy Starboy initially debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S.
The track was eventually certified triple Platinum, charted in a massive 28 countries and hit #1 in eight of them — Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and, of course, the U.S.
The album also appeared on several Best Albums of 2016 lists, with several critics raving not just about the music but also about the clever lyrics of each song.
‘Party Monster’ itself also hit charts in 21 countries, topping them in the U.S. on the Billboard Rhythmic Chart. The song was also certified double Platinum in the U.S, and Gold in Australia, Denmark and Norway.
Since then, The Weeknd has released an EP — My Dear Melancholy — and a compilation album — The Weeknd in Japan. He is currently working on his fourth studio album.
