Listen to Thelonious Monk’s ‘Blue Monk’ from The Flash, Season 8, Episode 3

Iconic American jazz pianist Thelonious Monk’s ‘Blue Monk‘ was that piece of music played on this week’s episode of The CW’s The FlashThe Flash, Season 8, Episode 3, “Armageddon, Part 3“.

The song was heard as Barry is talking to Jefferson about Joe, and the track is playing in the background.

Thelonious Monk’s ‘Blue Monk’ was written and recorded in late 1954, and first appeared on the pianist’s album Thelonious Monk Trio.

It is the track he recorded the most, as it appeared on several other albums, and has since become one of his most recognized pieces of music.

It also showed up on almost all of his live albums as it became the piece of music Monk played the most when in concert.

Starting life as a piece of music, Thelonious Monk’s ‘Blue Monk’ also ended up with lyrics when Abbey Lincoln wrote them in 1961.

Since then, both versions have become popular with fans of the jazz pianist.

Listen to Thelonious Monk’s ‘Blue Monk’ as heard on The Flash last night in the video, and on the pianist’s Thelonious Monk Trio album down below.

Season 8 of the popular DC Comics superhero series The Flash is currently airing on The CW.
