Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness’ heard on Saltburn at Oliver’s party as he watches Felix dance with a girl

The techno dance track ‘Loneliness‘ plays throughout the later scenes during Oliver’s party on Saltburn

The hit black comedy Saltburn is back in the Top 10 Movies on Amazon Prime and, along with the plot that grips you from the beginning right through to its somewhat surprising ending, a nice surprise is the music featured on the Saltburn soundtrack.

Music like Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness‘ (Radio Cut) — that fabulous techno dance track playing throughout many of the party scenes during Oliver’s birthday.

The same track that is still playing as Felix heads into the maze with a girl, and as Oliver follows him.

How old is Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness‘?

German DJ and music producer Tomcraft (aka Thomas Bruckner) first released ‘Loneliness‘ in September 2002 in Germany, with the techno trance track becoming an almost instant hit Europe-wide.

Loneliness‘ ranked at #1 on four charts — the UK Singles chart, the UK Dance Chart, the Scottish Singles chart, and the Irish Dance chart.

The track also climbed high on 16 worldwide charts in 10 countries, with numerous remix releases only adding to its popularity.

By the end of 2002, Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness‘ was still on the year-end charts in Australia, the UK, Ireland and Tomcraft’s home country of Germany.

Surprisingly, ‘Loneliness’ hasn’t appeared in other movies, with its appearance on Saltburn its first on a film soundtrack.

Listen to Tomcraft’s ‘Loneliness‘ (Radio Cut) as featured on the utterly wonderful Saltburn in the video, and on the Spotify player.

The track is so perfect for those scenes as it beautifully illustrates the absurdly modern decadence of the Catton family’s lifestyle, while at the same time giving a somewhat ominous feel to the slightly drunken walk of Felix and the girl as they walk into the labyrinth trailed by Oliver.
