American country music band Turnpike Troubadours’ ‘Diamonds & Gasoline‘ was played on the new episode of Fire Country last night — Fire Country, Season 1, Episode 6, “Like Old Times“.
The lovely mellow guitar-driven song was played as Manny and Gabriella get together so that they can talk about Gabriella joining Cal Fire.
Turnpike Troubadours’ ‘Diamonds & Gasoline‘ is the title track from the band’s second studio album, which came out in August, 2010 via the band’s own label Bossier City Records.
The album didn’t chart, but many of the tracks on it became fan favorites.
In the first decade after they were founded, Turnpike Troubadours released five albums, but then went on hiatus in early 2019.
The band reunited two years later, however, and kicked off a new tour.
The band is now performing around the U.S., with their next show taking place on December 9th in Las Vegas.
