Listen to Violent Femmes ‘Out The Window’ from Resident Alien, Season 1, Episode 2, “Homesick”

Iconic American indie folk punk band Violent Femmes’ ‘Out The Window‘ was one of the tracks played on the soundtrack of the latest episode of the sci-fi comedy drama Resident Alien this week — Resident Alien, Season 1, Episode 2, “Homesick“.

The song was heard during the flashback of Harry becoming used to being human.

Violent Femmes’ ‘Out The Window‘ was originally recorded for the band’s fifth studio album Why Do Birds Sing?, which was released in 1991 via the Reprise record label.

The album was the last one to feature founding member of the band, drummer Victor DeLorenzo.

It charted in Australia and the U.S., but was mainly known for the Violent Femmes’ song ‘American Music‘, which became hugely popular for the band, and has remained popular ever since.

The series Resident Alien premiered on the Syfy channel in late January, with the second episode premiering last night.

The show stars Alan Tudyk in the lead role as Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle, an alien that has crash landed on earth and needs to become human so he can be unnoticed as he goes about his secret mission.
