The late Warren Zevon‘s song ‘Desperados Under The Eaves‘ was featured on the latest episode of Ray Donovan on Sunday night (July 24th, 2016 — Season 4, Episode 5 — Get Even Before Leavin‘). It played during the end montage and the show’s credits.
And it is a now iconic song Zevon wrote back in the 1960s when he was still struggling with alcoholism, and the messy and drama-driven life that often entails, when he checked into a run-down motel but couldn’t even afford to pay that bill.
‘Desperados Under The Eaves‘ is from Warren Zevon’s self-titled second solo album. First released in 1976, a superb re-mastered version was released in 2015.
