I love a song with a soft piano introduction, so when I first heard Wet’s ‘These Daysfeatured on ‘Pure Genius’ last night (Season 1, Episode 10, “Hero Worship“), I was already in love.

Then lead singer Kelly Zutrau voice comes in, and I was rushing off to buy the album. Because I had heard a couple of Wet’s songs before, but had forgotten how gorgeous their music is.

The track was played on ‘Pure Genius‘ as Dr. Channarayapatra receives her medical award.

As for Wet, they are an indie synth pop/dream pop trio that released their first album Don’t You in January 2016. An album that was given extremely good reviews by critics from places like Rolling Stone, DIY Magazine and The 405.

No surprise really as Wet’s Don’t You is stunning. Especially if you love that soft, ethereal, dreamy kind of music that seems to almost put you in a trance. (And, yes, I do).

Listen to Wet’s ‘These Days‘ from ‘Pure Genius‘ in the video below. You can grab that gorgeous album on most major music sites.
