Listen to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ from ‘The Simpsons’ and Try Not To Associate It with Homer and His Pig

The classic Whitney Houston song ‘I Will Always Love You‘ was featured on last week’s episode of ‘The Simpsons‘ — Season 28, Episode 11, “Pork & Burns‘.

It was played when Homer is reunited with the pig so, yes, not exactly played in the spirit in which it was recorded but, well…it is The Simpsons.

Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You‘ was originally recorded 19 years earlier than she did by Dolly Parton in 1973. Houston recorded it for the soundtrack of the movie The Bodyguard, and consequently ended up with it being a much bigger hit for her than it was for Parton — spending four weeks at number 1 on the Billboard charts.

Since then, ‘I Will Always Love You‘ has been associated with Whitney Houston as her ‘classic song’, and is still the best-selling single released by any female singer in all of music history. Way to go, Whitney.

Listen to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You‘ in the video below and, of course, try not to forever more associate this beautiful song with Homer and his pig.
