Listen to Wildes’ haunting ‘Ghost‘ from Suits

The London-based indie singer songwriter Wildes song ‘Ghost‘ was featured on the latest episode of the USA network’s legal series Suits this week — Season 7, Episode 13, “Inevitable“.

The song was heard as Harvey reads Donna’s resignation letter, Donna leaves the office, and as Harvey rushes after her and jumps into a taxi.

Ghosts‘ is an atmospheric track from Wildes debut EP coming soon on Hometown Records, and was released as the third song from the EP.

It follows ‘Bare‘, released in support of the millions of refugees arriving in Europe and ‘Illuminate‘, although ‘Ghost’ is a lot more haunting in its feel. Particularly as Wildes is a songwriter who understands lyrics are just as important as the music they accompany and, here, she has written some quite devastating ones.

Wildes herself, aka Ella Walker, says about the song, “It is a song about the effects a past lover has on our future selves. Their words haunt us, and we long for their memories to remain after they have gone. Even the smallest moment with them can shape who we become.”

Interestingly too, Wildes only has three tracks released at the moment, yet her music has already been featured in Shooter and Good Behavior, as well as on Suits.

Listen to the Wildes track ‘Ghosts‘ in the official lyrics video below. She is being compared with artists like London Grammar, and it is easy to see why.
