Listen to Wildes’ ‘Lightly’ from The Company You Keep, S1 E5, “The Spy Who Loved Me”

The ABC drama The Company You Keep was back last night with more cool music on its soundtrack, including British indie pop singer songwriter Wildes’ ‘Lightly‘.

That track showed up on The Company You Keep, Season 1, Episode 5, “The Spy Who Loved Me” as Charlie arrives to pick up Emma for their date.

Wildes’ ‘Lightly‘ is a track from the British singer’s recently released album Other Words Fail Me.

The song was released as a single back in May last year.

Its lyrics speak about panicking when something awful happens only to realize, if you just let yourself, you can fall on your feet and keep on going, while still not treating the people who hurt you in the way they might deserve to be treated:

When I cried on the floor on a Saturday
oh I knew there was more just waiting for me

I think I see it, right out where the sun will set
Maybe I’m dreaming
I dream when I’m fine with the signs of the sun, signs in the sky
I wanna see how this road lies
I’ll rage on, brave and kind to my rivals

Wildes herself is singer songwriter Ella Walker.

You can learn more about her and her gorgeous music via her official website.

Listen to Wildes’ Lightly‘ as heard on The Company You Keep yesterday in the video, and on the singer’s Other Words Fail Me album.

The first season of The Company You Keep, which is based on a hit Korean TV show, is now airing on ABC.
