Australian hard rock band Wolfmother’s ‘Joker & the Thief‘ was one of the songs featured on the first episode of the latest season of the NBC crime thriller The Blacklist this week — Season 6, Episode 1, “Dr. Hans Koehler“.
The track was heard playing during the bank robbery scenes.
Wolfmother’s ‘Joker & the Thief‘ is the sixth single from the band’s self-titled debut album.
Released in October, 2005, the album was so successful it was certified five times platinum in Australia. It also received subsequent gold certifications in the United States, UK, Canada and Germany.
‘Joker and the Thief‘ itself has also been a popular release for the iconic band.
Prior to being heard on The Blacklist, the track was featured in movies like The Hangover, Shrek the Third and Shoot ‘Em Up. It has also been popular in the video game world, appearing in Rock Band, Rock Revolution, Need for Speed: Carbon and MLB 07: The Show.
