Brooklyn-founded, American indie folk rock band Woods’ ‘Before They Pass By‘ was one of the songs played on The CW’s western crime drama Walker this week — Walker, Season 1, Episode 11, “Freedom“.
The TV series is a reboot of the hit series Walker, Texas Ranger, and the song is from Woods’ eleventh studio album Strange to Explain, which was released in 2020 via the band’s own indie label Woodsist.
The album was critically acclaimed by a number of heavyweight music magazines including AllMusic, Under the Radar and Pitchfork.
Woods’ mellow and quite lovely ‘Before They Pass By‘ is one of several songs featured on TV series, with other band songs being licensed for play on shows like Private Practice, Elementary and Nashville.
The current lineup of Woods comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Earl, Jarvis Taveniere on guitar, drummer, bassist and acoustic guitarist Aaron Neveu, bass guitarist Chuck Van Dyck, and keyboardist and saxophonist Kyle Forester.
