For my Repeat Rotation Video today, I decided to go with a song that’s a little different to what I normally listen to. A little bit ‘heavier’, if you will. Well, more than a little bit. And that, of course, is Lordi’s ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah‘, the song that won Eurovision Song Contest 2006 for Finland.
What makes Lordi’s ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah‘ so fabulous as well, isn’t just the song and the awesome performance by Lordi themselves, but it’s also their amazing costumes.
Thus, making Lordi so incredibly different than what Eurovision normally gets in the way of songs and performers so, no, not a huge surprise that they won. And won, might I add, with the highest number of points for any act in Eurovision history at that point in time.
Of course, if you’ve never seen Lordi sing ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah‘ before, you’re in for a treat. They’re loud, they’re raucous and they give one fabulous performance. Watch them below.
