The lovely Mirror Fury’s version of R.E.M’s ‘The One I Love‘ played on ‘Suits’
British band Mirror Fury’s ‘The One I Love‘ showed up on the latest episode of the TV series ‘Suits‘ on Wednesday night — Season 7, Episode 9, “Shame“.
The track was played when Rachel asked Donna if she regretted putting Harvey before her relationship with Mark, and as Louis goes to Brian’s to help take care of the baby.
‘The One I Love‘, of course, is originally a song from alternative rock band R.E.M. It appeared on their fifth studio album Document, which was released in 1987, and has been placed on several critics’ lists since as one of the best songs of the 1980s.
Oh and no, it’s not a love song, but is instead a song about a man who is using someone else.
The Mirror Fury version of the iconic song, however, is a softer, more gentler version of the song, which makes it sound a whole lot prettier than the original. Even with the “Fire” chorus.
