Danish soul-pop band Lukas Graham made their debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night with a live performance of their new single ‘7 Years‘.

The single catapulted to the number 1 spot in the U.K. when it was released back in February, and has done extremely well since in various other countries as well.

7 Years‘, of course, is from Lukas Graham’s second studio album. Called Lukas Graham (Blue Album), it was released in Denmark in the middle of 2015, but did not get a worldwide release until last month.

When it did, the album immediately debuted at the number 3 spot on Billboard’s 200 Chart in the United States.

As for Lukas Graham’s performance of ‘7 Years‘ on James Corden last night, they killed it.

The performance started with a walking beginning in black and white — with lead singer Lukas Graham Forchhammer emerging from a corridor backstage, and hitting the main studio stage at the track’s first hard drum roll. The video footage then turns into color.

Once on stage, he continued to kill it with superb on point vocals, and the perfect emotional feel for the song.

An interesting thing to watch, as the song does not have a traditional musical hook to it yet, with the emotional way it is sung by Forchhammer, you still get pulled in and emotionally hooked.

Watch Lukas Graham perform ‘7 Years‘ on James Corden in the video below to see how he does it. It’s lovely.
