Ahhhhhh, is it just me or are you also incredibly happy for Korean actress Gong Min Jung who has just announced she is getting married to fellow actor Jang Jae Ho next month in a small wedding in Seoul.
And yes, I single her out of the soon-to-be-married couple as I have loved her as an actress since she brilliantly played Hye Jin’s best friend and roommate Pyo Mi Seon in the massively successful K-drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
Since then, of course, the 37-year-old actress has had roles in Little Women, My Man is Cupid, Frankly Speaking and Marry My Husband.
Meanwhile, her husband-to-be Jang Jae Ho appeared in Marry My Husband alongside his soon-to-be-wife earlier in the year.
The now-38-year-old actor has also had supporting roles in K-dramas like Eve, The Spies Who Loved Me, Eccentric! Chef Moon, Confession, Chief of Staff (both seasons) and Nobody Knows.
Gong Min Jung commented on social media about her upcoming marriage this week, saying about Jang Jae Ho:
I’m getting married to my best friend in the world in a small ceremony with our family and friends. He is a precious person who has made me laugh a lot since we first met as friends in the drama Marry My Husband, and has always embraced me warmly with his unwavering kindness.
He has made me believe that I would rather go through life together than alone.
Jang Jae Ho has also commented on his upcoming marriage saying:
I’m going to spend the rest of my life with the person I love so much starting in September. She is someone whom I admire both as a person and an actor, and she deserves so much from me.
I would like to thank everyone who has always cared for me from the bottom of my heart. I will always repay them by living happily and well.
There is no word yet on new dramas either of the new couple will be appearing in going forward but, with both being so talented, we are likely to see them quite a lot.
